Please contact me to discuss which type of ceremony will best suit the type of wedding you want.
Personalised Ceremony
This type of ceremony I build WITH you. I meet with the happy couple face to face or via Skype if you're out of the area, I get as much information as I can about your relationship and lives together and discuss the type of ceremony YOU want. From that I write a personalised ceremony (each personalised ceremony I create for each individual couple) that I send to you for any changes to be made by you. You have the option of having any songs, readings or poems that are special to you as a couple. You can choose whether you write your own vows (it’s easier than you think). In the days leading up your BIG DAY, we get together and have a run through of the ceremony so everyone knows where they are to stand on the day, a practice walk in for the Bride and Bridesmaids (if they’re available for the practice) etc.
On the wedding day, I arrive at least 45 minutes before the ceremony. All that’s left to do is get you guys married. Once the ceremony is completed I send in the signed paperwork to BDM to register your marriage.
I have a foldable table and chairs available for outdoor weddings where there’s no other suitable place to sit for signing the paperwork.
Simple Ceremony
This will be similar to the old Registry weddings. The ceremony will follow a prescribed script where you say the legal parts of the ceremony, I have prewritten vows available for these ceremonies but if you’d like to write your own, that’s great. To make the marriage legal you require 2 witnesses for the ceremony. Once the ceremony is finished I send in the signed paperwork to BDM to register your marriage.
I have locations in Whakatane, Kawerau and Opotiki available to perform these types of ceremony.
For both the Personalised Ceremony and the Registry Style Ceremony, you can get your licence by clicking on the following link:

NOTE: Select ‘PERSONALISED CEREMONY’ for both ceremony types when applying for your licence.
